I use wegame http://www.wegame.com/download/ I'm into free things. Easy to use. I think doing machinima would be so much easier with a SL friend to do the camera work while you do the 'acting'. But anyway - there is only me so I am using view/mouseview with the alt and ctrl pan options. Then I edit the footage up with my video editor. Hope that helps
